Weather permitting, you’ll learn about soil amendments and carpentry as begin amending garden plots and working on our greenhouse.  In the warehouse, work will include organizing bikes that were donated by Velocipede (by the way, thanks Velocipede, you rock!), and more carpentry.  We’ll also be preparing our Kickstarter reward packages, so it’ll be a great opportunity to begin learning about screen-printing, sound recording, and puppet making!

And even if you can’t make it to a volunteer day, please don’t miss this:

Bottled water

In 2009, one Australian town banned bottled water due to concerns about the environmental impact of bottling and transporting water.

Is this a step in the right direction? Do you think more places should stop consuming so much bottled water?
